COVID-19 - WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR EMERGENCY WORK ONLY.
There has been much confusion about what we are and what we are not permitted to do. Matt Hancock, Health Secretary, stated yesterday that Building and Boiler Maintenance must continue. We also received advice from Gas Safe saying that we can continue as long as we abide by the guidelines. Worcester have said that, for boilers under Guarantee, that must be serviced annually to keep the Guarantee valid, they are now giving a 6mth grace due to the current crisis. So very mixed messages.
We have been faced with a great dilemma, do we close completely or just do emergency work. We have decided that people need heating and hot water, even more so now, so will remain open to ensure our customers are looked after. We are of course following Government advice and will of course act accordingly if things change.
We have now, as of today, made the decision that we will only be carrying out emergency work, such as loss of heating / hot water, emergency boiler replacements, water leaks, oil leaks and gas leaks for the foreseeable future.
Gas Safe have stated that Land Lord Certificates MUST be carried out so we will continue with that work for you. We have a two month grace before the current certificate runs out, so if we look after your rented property please give me a call ASAP so we can schedule the work to ensure you remain legal.
Our engineers (as you can see from the lovely selfie they’ve just sent me) are well equipped for theirs and your protection with masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and cleaning spray, and will strictly be following the guidelines set by the Government.

We will only attend with the following guarantee from your selves:
- You must ensure the area where you need us to work is cleared prior to our arrival.
- You must keep at least a 2m distance (preferably more) from our engineer(s) at all times.
- our engineers are no longer using their card machines due to the risk of spread of this virus. The only available method of payment is via card payment over the phone or via bank transfer. You will receive a receipt via email, apologies we cannot accept any other method of payment at this time.
- you must tell us if you or anyone in your home has any of the Corona Virus symptoms or been in contact with someone who has within the last 14days.

We ask that you clean all areas where our engineers are expected to work both before and after they have been to your home. They will also clean the area before and after they have finished their work.

Society and business is facing a huge challenge, but we will get through this if we ALL strictly stick to the rules which have been set by our Government.
