Sometimes the right movements on the printer get some interesting sounds. Sounds like it should be a warning sound off an 8 bit game.

Wanted to just do a proof of concept before spending more money. Quite happy with the results considering the circumstances.

After cutting the threaded bar to length and bolting everything together this was a test to see how smooth it is. I will make some mods as it could be better and my original way to assemble is a bit difficult so I'm going to change the model to make it easier. It spins easily with the bearings and wobbles a bit as I've put very few fasteners as its just a test but overall its successful. Now to have a go at adding the motor.

After lots of gluing of threaded bars into all the parts I've now got everything dry fit together. I now need to buy a load of glue for this and the Gatling laser as I've had so much assembly work I got through everything I had.

This is why I like 3d printing, needed a quick bushing and an hour later I can fit them.

Some Gatling Laser progress, getting round to gluing all the main long elements together which is not easy with the number of parts but will make nice strong parts for mounting everything to.

The small scale GiddyUp Buttercup action figure is complete and now available on my Patreon. I'm now working on the full scale version for the people wanting a life size prop.

A test print of my 6" Giddyup Buttercup. Before I scaled it to this size I didnt think about printing it in one piece but it obviously worked. The only think that detached was the tail, it started to print and fell off. My plan is do more work to make sure this is right then also make a full size model with joints for the people wanting to print a 4' version, that would be fun to see.

Its taking longer than I thought but I think most of the major pieces of the gatling laser running are done. I just need...

Its taking longer than I thought but I think most of the major pieces of the gatling laser running are done. I just need a load of glue and some fasteners to keep everything together and then I can look to start ordering the motor and stuff to get it running.
