This is an original MINI rocker cover which has had the paint removed and then been crackle coated.
I used an original 998cc piston and conrod fixed to a hardwood base to mount the rocker cover and hid the cables as much as possible.

Something a bit special now. Hundreds of nails bent by hand one at a time before being welded into shape.
One of the difficult things to do is picking up a nail with thick welding gloves 😆
I used towing chain for a base rather than the standard steel plate.

This is one of my favourite pieces.

A wine bottle for scale in some photos because it looked quite small by itself.
I used the heavy chain as I thought it was almost like vertebrae.

A lamp made from bent nails.
I wasn't sure how this would look until it was finished but I am really happy with the result.
It is quite large at 22cm high. I couldn't find a can in the workshop so a coffee cup was used for scale.
