Honestly the photos don't do it justice. The head is around 6' tall.
I started with an old weights bar and the idea grew from there.

An old suspension spring from a car.
Cleaned up and then a base made. The spring doesn't naturally sit level so I routered out the shape of the first part of the coil into a hardwood base.
It is quite tall, the bulb itself is 30cm and the can is for scale.

Simple and effective 👍

I have given it an acrylic clear coat to protect the old look and give a shine.

This one was made for a very good customer Ross at Heavy Metal Piercing for Clare at Hihopes Aesthetics, Tattoos & Permanent Makeup
Ross asked me to make two skulls held up by hands to make the silhouette of a heart for Clare. I am really pleased with the result and most importantly so are Ross and Clare.

Doing a lot of work on the "new" work van at the minute. It is getting wrapped next Thurs/Fri at Mikas Design. I am really excited to see it done.
Today I replaced all four springs to save my spine from the rock hard ones it came with. I made a better exhaust mounting bracket so I can get over speed bumps now.
I also replaced a split CV boot.
I have recently re-fitted a cassette player to it 😆I have tapes in the van including NOW 13, Hits '96, Lisa Stansfield and Terence Trent D'Arby.
It is great not having it hooked up to a phone, nobody calling you when you are driving 👍

I've not had a chance to post much recently, too busy in the workshop 🙂

This heart is made from lots of old rollers from a six speed gearbox. The rollers are a shiny steel colour before I weld them together and if I wire brushed them now they would go back to that. I prefer the various dark colours made by the heat of welding.

This time I haven't put it on a steel base. I really like the clean look like this. It is very stable.
