How To Identify If Your Boiler is Faulty?
- Strange Noises
One of the most noticeable signs of a faulty boiler is strange noises from your system. If you hear banging, whistling, gurgling, or other unusual sounds, it could indicate underlying issues such as trapped air, kettling (build-up of limescale), or a faulty component.
- Fluctuating Temperatures: Inconsistent Heating
Have you noticed that some rooms in your home are warmer than others, or that your heating isn't as effective as it used to be? Fluctuating temperatures or uneven heating across your property could be a sign of a boiler problem. Issues with the thermostat, pump, or water flow can all contribute to this issue.
- Leaking
Leaks or drips around your boiler should never be ignored. Even small leaks can indicate significant problems, such as corrosion, faulty seals, or pressure issues. Not only can leaks lead to water damage and mould growth, but they can also pose safety hazards.
- Increased Energy Bills
A sudden spike in your energy bills could be a red flag indicating inefficiencies in your boiler. If your heating system is working harder than usual to maintain desired temperatures, it will consume more energy, resulting in higher bills.
