🚆 Another major milestone completed at Southend Station!
Last weekend marked the next phase of the Southend AFA Scheme, with the installation of two lift shafts, two spiral staircases, and the main span during a planned station closure.
A huge amount of work was completed over the weekend, keeping the project moving forward safely and efficiently.
The final stage for AIR Cladding is now to complete all the cladding junctions and finish around the lift shafts where panels were left off to allow the lifting lugs to be installed during the crane lifts.
A fantastic weekend’s progress working alongside Nusteel and Octavius. We’re looking forward to bringing this phase to completion and sharing the finished results.

AIR Cladding | Project Update – SA1 Waterfront Apartments 🌊🏗️
Great progress on our SA1 Waterfront Apartments development in Swansea!
AIR Cladding, working alongside Morganstone, has now completed the end-of-block walls, marking another key milestone on this exciting waterfront development. With this phase complete, the scaffolding can now be removed, allowing the membrane roofing system to be installed.
Next up, we’ll be moving onto the townhouses, where we’ll be installing the Valcan rainscreen cladding system with the Helping Hand support system.
We’re proud to be part of another quality development and look forward to sharing more progress as the project continues.

Great to see progress taking shape on the new AFA for Southend Train Station, currently being fabricated in the Nusteel Engineering yard in Hythe.

Project Update | Bronllwyn Care Home, Pentre Rhondda 🏗️

AIR Cladding, working alongside Langston Construction, has recently completed Phase 2 of 3 at Bronllwyn Care Home in Pentre Rhondda.

This phase included the installation of 150mm Kingspan KS1000RW composite panels, press-metal flashings and trims, along with Trimline gutters, delivering a durable and high-quality external envelope.

Great progress on site as we move towards the final phase of this project. 👷‍♂️🔨

Project Update – Afon Taff Community Centre, Merthyr Tydfil 🏗️

AIR Cladding, working alongside ACE Builders, has recently completed the stripping of the existing felt roof at Afon Taff Community Centre, Merthyr Tydfil.

Working with specialist contractors, the asbestos elements were safely removed before a new roof was installed using 150mm-thick composite panels, providing a modern and durable roofing solution.

Once the scaffolding has been removed and the groundworks are complete, work will commence on the building elevations.

🏗️ Progress at New Inn Fire Station! 🚒

AIR Cladding is just finishing off the insulation works to the Alumasc Derbigum roofing system, including the roof hatch and trapezoidal parapet cladding.

We’ll keep you updated as we move on to the next stage, with the rainscreen cladding to the elevations starting soon.

🚧 Project Update – Undy, Caldicot 🚧

AIR Cladding is currently on site in Undy, Caldicot, working on a residential property.

We’re installing Equitone panels onto a timber substrate, creating the required ventilated cavity to ensure a high-performance façade system. All doors and windows are being neatly closed off using PPC flashings, delivering both protection and a clean, professional finish.

This project is still underway, and we’re looking forward to sharing the completed transformation with you soon.

🚧 Project Update – Charfield AFA Scheme 🚧
AIR Cladding is making great progress on the Charfield AFA Scheme, delivering a complete cladding package including Kingspan MR wall panels, Petrarch GRC rainscreen cladding, Kingspan RW roof sheets, and PPC flashings, gutters, and downpipes.
A key milestone on the project was the installation of the lift shafts. These were fully clad within Charfield Station car park before being craned into their final position. Throughout the process, the shafts were kept vertical at all times to prevent any movement within the rainscreen cladding system, ensuring the highest standards of quality and finish.
With the lift shafts now in place, our team is continuing the installation of the remaining cladding works during planned night shifts and rail possessions, helping to keep the project progressing safely and efficiently.
It’s been a pleasure working alongside Centregreat Engineering and Octavius on this fantastic project. We’re looking forward to bringing the scheme to completion over the coming weeks.
