Students 4 Rare Diseases - University of Cambridge A group of students determined to raise rare disease awareness. Launch date: World Rare Disease Day 28th February 2017 It's up to us to speed that up.

3.5 million people in the UK suffer from a rare disease, 75% of which are children, and often these diseases are life threatening. 46% of patients wait over a year for a rare disease diagnosis. This Rare Disease Society aims to provide rare disease education through lecture series and both clinician and patient-led sessions. This will improve early recognition and diagnosis by students and the wid
