Proud to have designed and 3D printed the trophies for the Cardiff Life Awards 2026 — held at the National Museum Cardiff last week. 🏆

Each award was printed using Multi Jet Fusion technology, then hand-finished with a metallic polish. The plaque is shaped like Cardiff itself — a nod to the city and the museum that hosted the night.

Designed in collaboration with the Cardiff Life team. Every detail, made in Cardiff.

Raw vs. Dyed: The power of post-processing. ⚡️

While raw MJF (PA12) is known for its incredible strength and isotropic properties, the aesthetic finish is what takes a drone mockup from a "concept" to a "product."

We’re looking at a side-by-side of the same drone frame:

Raw: High-detail, matte gray, functional.

Dyed: Deep black finish, UV stable, and ready for the field.

We were thrilled to welcome a television crew to Lunia 3D in the summer as part of Ne-wff-ion, the BBC/S4C programme that brings news and stories to life for younger audiences.

It was a fantastic experience sharing what we do and showing how creativity, technology and 3D printing intersect right here in Cardiff and beyond.
