Gridfit installs ground mount solar wherever the project takes us.

We own our low loader and machinery which means when a project is confirmed, we can mobilise and move without waiting on hire depots or third-party haulage.

North East to South West. Large scale or fast turnaround. We have delivered across the UK and we are set up to keep doing it.

If you are an EPC planning a ground mount solar project, your sub-contractor choice has a bigger impact on programme outcome than almost any other decision.

Here is what the best EPCs check before committing:

❓Do they own their plant? Hired equipment causes delays. Owned equipment runs to your programme.
❓Can they pull test on site? Third-party testing adds cost and time. Gridfit does it in-house.
❓Have they delivered at this scale before? Track record at comparable MW output matters.
❓Do they offer end-to-end delivery? Structure, piling, panels, civils, handover from one team, under one programme.
❓What does handover look like? Documentation, drawings, and app-based O&M support are not optional extras.
❓Do they have the capacity? Ask for evidence of projects delivered to programme, not just a list of completed jobs. A track record of meeting commitments matters.

Work is progressing well on our new project, a 5MW ground mount installation at the Wi******er area.

Simon Gillen (Goose), our Head of Construction, is leading delivery on site. As with every project Goose takes on, the team is executing to programme and to standard. Campus-scale ground mount at this level requires precise planning, experienced people, and the right equipment on site from day one. We have all three.

This weekend Gridfit-sponsored Mikey Porter Racing heads to Monza for Round 3 of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, racing for Optimum Motorsport in the McLaren 720S GT3 EVO alongside co-drivers Dante Rappange and Guilherme Oliveira.

Monza is one of the most iconic circuits in motorsport. High speed, hard braking, and demanding on tyres and machinery over a long endurance stint. It is a circuit that rewards experience and precise car management throughout.

Good luck to Mikey and the Optimum Motorsport team this weekend.

At Gridfit, we don't put people at risk. We invest in the right equipment to keep our people safe and our clients assets protected.

Our panel turning attachment for the Bobcat is a great example. Built by Moorend Limited, it helps make panel handling safer and more efficient on site, particularly where panels arrive in portrait orientation to optimise delivery space.

Small improvements in equipment can make a big difference to site safety, installation efficiency, and overall project delivery.

We are pleased to welcome the fantastic Leigh Kendrick to Gridfit as our new Head of Procurement.

Leigh brings a strong background from her previous role as a national account manager in the plant and tools sector.

It is experience that will make a real difference as we continue to grow.

Getting procurement right matters at this level of output. It affects programme delivery, cost control, and the ability to move quickly when the opportunity is there.

The GB4 season is at Oulton Park this weekend, and Gridfit-sponsored Holly_Miall_Racing is on the grid with KMR Sport.

Three races across the bank holiday weekend on one of Britain's most technically demanding circuits. Fast, flowing, and unforgiving of mistakes makes Oulton Park is a proper test.

All GB4 races are streamed live on the MSV TV YouTube channel and well worth watching.

800kW of ground mount solar, 2-In P orientation, completed in Wales in six days.

Not every project makes the headlines, but projects like this are what we are built for. Efficient delivery, tight programme, clean handover.

Portrait orientation brings its own tolerances. The alignment has to be precise, the structure work, methodical. With the right team and the right kit on site, it comes together well.

Another one in the books.

We built the Gridfit app ourselves, because we could not find anything on the market that did what we needed.

The latest update goes further than ever. Here is what it now does.

✔️ For administrators, you can view monthly hours, shift counts, and daily worker numbers across every active site at a glance. Clients receive their own login to track project completion as a percentage, updated daily, so there are no surprises about where their job stands.
✔️ Electronic Risk Assessment Method Statements have replaced paper copies entirely. Every worker signs on digitally, and the records are stored and searchable.
✔️ The system captures daily plant inspection sheets, full delivery logs with photos showing what came in, what went out, and when, as well as a site photo record that documents progress from ground-break to handover.
✔️ Workers check in and out with a timestamped photo and a GPS location record. Every hour is logged and verifiable.
✔️ All personnel credentials are stored in the app too: CSCS cards, qualifications, plant tickets, manual handling certification, and emergency contact details.
✔️ Each client gets their own portal. When the project completes, the record is theirs.

Not many contractors in this sector operate at this level of traceability. We do, and it is something our clients consistently tell us they value.
