No race for Mikey this weekend, so a moment to look ahead.

Gridfit-sponsored Mikey Porter is contesting the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup this season with Optimum Motorsport in the McLaren 720S GT3 EVO. The next Endurance Cup round takes place at the Nürburgring from 28 to 30 August on one of the great circuits in world motorsport.

Endurance GT racing is a genuine team sport. Driver changes, strategy, tyre calls and hours of consistency under pressure. It is exactly the kind of challenge worth backing.

We will be behind Mikey and the Optimum crew when they get to Germany. More to follow closer to the weekend.

A solar site generates a mountain of records. Deliveries, inspections, RAMs, daily progress, who was on site and when. On most jobs that lives in a dozen places, or in someone's memory.

We built the Gridfit App so it lives in one.

Progress is logged daily. Plant inspections and deliveries are recorded as they happen. RAMs are handled electronically rather than on paper that gets lost. And when the job completes, the full searchable history is handed over with the site, from first pile to energisation.

For an EPC or a site owner, it provides a clear record of progress, activity and key site information without having to reconstruct it after the event.

We believe the site record should remain useful long after the installation work is complete.

Ground mount solar is Gridfit’s specialism, and our 11 MW Lancaster project shows what that means at scale.

Spread across six zones, the installation called for careful planning, accurate setting out and a coordinated approach from the first pile through to the final panels.

Gridfit delivered the piling, mounting structures and panel installation using our own specialist teams and plant. That gave us greater control over mobilisation, resources and progress, supported by our own specialist plant and installation teams.

The work continued through challenging winter conditions, with the overall programme completed on time and two zones finished ahead of schedule.

Large ground mount projects depend on getting the fundamentals right across every part of the site. By bringing the key installation stages together under one experienced team, we were able to maintain consistency from zone to zone and provide a complete site record at handover.

Eleven megawatts, six zones and one joined-up Gridfit team.

The GB4 Championship reaches the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit this weekend, and Gridfit-sponsored Holly Miall is on the grid with KMR Sport for Round 4.

Silverstone provides one of the fastest and most demanding tests of the season. Long, committed corners like Copse and Maggotts that reward a driver who trusts the car and carries speed. Three races across the weekend on the full Grand Prix layout.

Holly is into her second GB4 season with clear ambitions this year, and a circuit like this is where progress shows.

Every GB4 race is streamed live on the GB4 YouTube channel, so you can follow her all weekend.

Good luck this weekend, Holly. The Gridfit team is right behind you!

Ground mount solar is what we do.

This 800 kW project in Wales is a good example of the experience, planning and control needed to deliver a site from the ground up.

With the panels installed in portrait orientation, accuracy at the setting-out stage was essential. The foundation layout, supporting structures and panel installation all needed to align precisely across every row.

Gridfit managed the piling, structures and panel installation as one joined-up programme, using Gridfit’s own specialist plant and installation teams.

That end-to-end approach gives us greater control over quality, progress and the condition of the site at handover.

From the first pile to the final panel, this is ground mount solar delivered by a specialist team.

The best measure of a contractor is whether the client calls them back.

Gridfit has grown by doing the work well. Reading sites correctly, proving foundations, holding programmes and handing over clean. The EPCs and developers who work with us tend to return, and bring the next project with them.

That is the kind of growth that lasts. Earned on site, not claimed in a brochure.

Thank you to the teams who keep building it with us. Plenty more to come.

Programme slippage on large solar projects usually traces back to one thing. Plant availability.

Hired kit arrives late. Teams wait on a rig that is stuck on another site. It is one of the most common frustrations in the sector, and one we designed out.

Gridfit owns its machinery outright. The rigs, the Bobcats, the transport. When we commit to a mobilisation date, the equipment is ours to schedule and the team to run it is ours too.

For EPCs managing tight programmes and clients with fixed handover dates, that reliability is not a small thing.

Most contractors send a weekly update, if you are lucky.

With the Gridfit App, clients get their own login and see project completion tracked daily as a percentage, in real time. Every delivery is logged with photos. Every plant inspection is recorded. Every worker on site checked in with a timestamped photo and location.

You can see exactly where your project stands at any point, without picking up the phone. And when the installation completes, the full searchable site record is yours, from ground-break to handover.

Not many contractors in this sector work at this level of transparency. We do.

Not every ground mount solar site takes the same foundation approach, and choosing the right option is critical to long-term performance.

Driven piles are the most common choice on ground mount projects, installed using specialist piling equipment. Screw piles can be suitable where driven piles are less effective, using a threaded profile to achieve grip in the ground. Ballast systems are often used where piling is not viable, such as capped, restricted or sensitive sites.

Each option has its place. The key is understanding the site conditions, working with the right foundation design, and installing the chosen system with care and accuracy.

At Gridfit, we support ground mount solar projects with practical installation experience, specialist equipment and a focus on getting the foundations right before the structure goes up.

The GB4 Championship heads to Donington Park this weekend, and Gridfit-sponsored Holly Miall is back on the grid with KMR Sport.

Three races across the weekend on one of Britain's best loved circuits. Donington rewards commitment through the Craner Curves and precision into the Old Hairpin, a proper test of a young driver on the way up.

Every GB4 race is streamed live on the GB4 YouTube channel, so there is no excuse not to watch.
