Right, let's start an argument then...

What's the most overrated boiler brand?

Not the worst boiler brand, just the one that everyone seems to rate really highly but you've never quite understood all the hype around.

Personally, I'd probably say Ideal. Before anyone starts, I don't think they're bad boilers at all. I've fitted plenty and worked on loads over the years. I just don't think they're quite as special as some people make out.

But saying that, I do think installation plays a massive part. You can fit the most expensive boiler on the market, but if the system's full of sludge or s**t and it's been fitted crap, it'll still give you grief.

Anyway, that's my opinion. What's yours and why? Interested to see what everyone says on this one

9pm callout last night, Leaking rad on the top floor, should’ve been a quick one 🌚

Except the boiler was fitted last year and not a single drain off on the whole system. Not one, Brand new installation.

So there I am at 9pm with the wet vac out trying to get water down from the top floor. Patience of a saint.

Took absolutely ages. When the f**k did we stop fitting drain offs lads? 20 minutes of your time saves the next guy a nightmare. Come on.
