Fitted 3 New TT/S/S Hatches to a generator belly tank.
This shows the importance of having a proper tank clean done, especially when considering changing over to new age bio fuels such as HVO.

At a local hospital converting 2 Cumming’s engines over to HVO we removed the fuel from each tank, cut access hatches, vacuumed, rag, moped and dried the tank in each baffled compartment, fitted new hatches and flushed the pipework ready for its fresh start on HVO. 🏥

With the level of sediment at the base of the tanks that we found, converting to HVO could have been a disaster without having a full HVO ready clean. 🧼

Out cleaning a basement bulk tank and a roof top day tank today for a cancer research centre. 🏥

Both tanks haven’t been cleaned for over 10 years!! Safe to say there was a lot of heavy sediment covering the base and bracings of the tanks making it less than ideal for running emergency back up power systems.

Utilising our bespoke DDM3 and DDM1 fuel filtration systems with our LPA3 fuel analyser we managed to removed the fuel, clean the tanks and polished the fuel back to under ISO specification.

Working on a New Holland TZ.245 today.

The owner got in touch informing us that the tractor kept going into limp mode, the possible cause was dirty fuel out of ISO specification.
When a fuel sample was tested on our MP Filtri LPA3 fuel analyser the results weren’t alarming at 22/21/15. But modern tractors will not run correctly unless the fuel is free of particulate and water.
Fuel tank was cleaned and fuel polished to below ISO Standard 16/13/09.
Tank was jetted and vacced out, with the clean fuel then being returned back to the tank.

Out fuel sampling today with the LPA3 fuel analyser at a farm in Suffolk, safe to say the fuel is way out of spec and requires tank modifications, fuel cleaning to ISO spec and a non-invasive tank clean. Another job well done by Tank Tech.
