Camelot creates beautiful, hand made open fires that also offer high performance like a stove. Our fires look very traditional but feature our Thermovent heat exchange design to increase performance to just over 50% net efficiency. We offer a no smoke guarantee and specialise in Inglenooks and thatched properties. We also make canopies.

Max is midway through this bespoke 1.8m wide steel open fire canopy with banding. You can see the cutouts he's working to at the back of the canopy to match the large stone fire surround. In the background is the test corner piece made to double check his planned work matches the jig we made dureing our site visit a few weeks ago. This is the reference for this canopy. Great work.

Great trip out with Max yesterday. We needed a really accurate reference of the bespoke stone fireplace to be able to make a bespoke canopy for the opem fire. We dont normally do this but the diagonals and the difference between planned and actual installed dimension meant we had to add this step into our process. Max is now taking the results to creat a CAD deawing of the canopy to send to the client for feedback or approval. Then we strike metal!

Our TwinSkin designs, including a steel Inglenook canopy, a brass regency canopy, and a copper cottage canopy, are currently full steam ahead, as well as our outdoor thermovent fire pits, which are taking the torch from the thermovent canopies. A large handmade outer canopy for a client in the Cotswolds. This particular one is to be aged for a rustic designer finish. We'll share pics of the key stages to get to the finished appearance also.

Great trip out round the Cotwolds this morning with my daughter Emily 😊. We carried out the final survey on two open fire place installations ahead of install of the bespoke canopies and grates. We moved on to a second customer site to create a template for a bespoke open fire spark curtain. Certainly glad Em was there as a second pair of hands and to keep me steady as I clambered around the raised hearth!

This is work in progress on a bespoke 4 sided steel canopy for a premium refurbishment project in the cotswolds. We're working on 3 open fires for the client. Led by Max, working with Jerry also, our skilled team have taken this design from our client approved 2D CAD drawing to what you see here in our workshop. Still lots to do to finish but a great point to break for the weekend! Well done team 👍
