Durham University Women in STEM Our mission is to empower women and non-binary people in STEM through personal support, professional Welcome to DU Women in STEM!

Durham University Women in STEM is a student-run society consisting of a mixture of undergraduate and postgraduate students across a range of STEM subjects. We hold networking, developmental and social events, to ensure that our members have access to as many opportunities as possible! Our networking events, held together with our sponsors, give students the chance to learn about job opportunities

available to them and careers within different areas of a company. Our developmental events provide members with the opportunity to strengthen their CV and help with their studies. Social events are a place where our students can get to know each other in a welcoming environment! We also run mentorship and course representative schemes, to help with supporting students both in their studies and in the job market. Membership is free, and open to everyone - sign up through the DSU website!

Our Story

Durham University Women In STEM (previously Durham WISE) is a student-run society consisting of a mix of undergraduate and postgraduate students, across a range of STEM subjects. Membership is free and events are open to all genders.

Our society aims to provide students with career information and network with companies in a welcoming environment. This year, you can also look forward to a destress day with dogs and an alumni coffee morning.

Our monthly opportunities post is a great way to find out about internships and graduate job openings.
