Situated in the East Midlands of the UK as a fast growing SME, UBIPOS UK Ltd. has committed itself for the research and development of most advanced and innovative ubiquitous solutions to tackle both engineering and environmental issues that are related to the provision of positioning, navigation and tracking. All of these activities are backed with the unique capacities for development of UBIPOS
algorithms, devices, system platforms, validation and commercial exploitation. UBIPOS which originally evolved from a leading geospatial company in China has wide links with Chinese industry and government. Technology transfer forms another core activity of UBIPOS' business and it has China as its major technology transfer destination. During the past 5 years of our existence, UBIPOS has been involved in a number of high profile projects that were sponsored by UK, EU and Chinese governmental departments. The focal research directions of current UBIPOS R&D include Food Security, Precision Agriculture, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Services, and Large Infrastructure Monitoring. UBIPOS is an active member of GeoSHM consortium, an ESA sponsored project that is dedicated to use GNSS and Earth Observation for structural health monitoring (SHM) of long bridges.
