The Libtek team have recently installed this Vaillant Arotherm plus 7kw in Hertfordshire.

We had Newark Cylinders build a bespoke cylinder to fit 170L capacity into the tight cupboard space where the old gas boiler was removed. Fitting all the pipework in was a challenge!

We also replaced 6 of the radiators, sizing them to provide the house with a 21° internal temperature through a maximum flow temperature of 45° when outdoor is -1.7c. The pure weather compensation control will then adjust the flow temperature accordingly to maintain a comfortable climate. The heat loss calculations and designs were done via Spruce and the handover pack through InsTool.

We used 25mm thick insulation inside the trunking and Primary Pro on the external pipes. Intatec antifreeze valves, flexi connectors and HP filter.

Chose an ESBE Group diverter valve from Pirate heating supplies and OpenEnergyMonitor to show the true performance of the system.

A nice change to not be stuck in a tight cupboard and have a bit of space to work with for the cylinder installation.
This Newark Heat geek cylinder accompanies a Vaillant Arotherm plus 5kw.
The outdoor pipework has been insulated with Primary pro. The fill & flush and filter strainer are from Inta, and we have Heat pump monitor to tell us everything we need to know about the performance of the system.

We will be returning to this one to fit a small back up heater after the recent revelation that Vaillant outputs don’t do what they say on the tin, when defrosts are brought into the equation. At just over 6kw heat loss this unit struggled to get the house above 18° on the coldest days.

A Viessmann Vitocal 150A we installed a short while ago.
The client wanted the heat pump to be positioned away from the house so we carefully lifted the slabs and dug a trench for the Maincor insulated pipework and electrics. 🚜

We were also asked to install the Newark Heat geek cylinder as tight as possible so that the washer and dryer would fit in the same cupboard. 🧺

This system will run open loop with a mix of radiators and UFH with a max flow temp of 45° at design outdoor temperature using pure weather compensation.

This install is a Vaillant Arotherm plus 3.5kw retrofit, mix of radiators and UFH all running nicely open loop with minimal balancing.
We’ve used Inta antifreeze valves with Primary pro insulation on the exposed parts. Ivory trunking to match the downpipes with 25mm insulation around the pipes.
We had to get a bespoke cylinder made by Newark to fit in the cupboard which was challenging but it’s what the client wanted. IMI expansion vessel and Honeywell VC diverter from Pirate heating supplies.
