CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) HGV Driver (Class 2) at our centre in Thatcham
We are currently looking for an HGV Driver with a valid HGV licence with experience in loading and unloading construction machinery preferred.
You will be responsible for the successful delivery and collection of plant as well as ensuring the working order of your vehicle and safely securing all loads carried. Duties also include: planning delivery routes; loading and unloading plant machinery; making sure loads are safely secured; following traffic reports and altering your route if necessary; completing delivery paperwork.

This is a permanent position 42.5 hours a week with overtime at time and a half every week. CBL Plant Hire, based in Thatcham, Berkshire, operates a busy and successful plant hire, sales and service depot, supported by an adjoining sales yard supplying new construction equipment across the South of England and Wales.
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Depot Manager to lead this thriving operation. The role will oversee all aspects of depot performance, including hire, service, and sales functions, while managing a dedicated team of engineers, drivers, and office staff.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead and manage depot operations to achieve commercial and customer service goals
• Ensure efficient coordination between hire, service, and sales activities between both yards.
• Drive performance, safety, and compliance standards
• Support and develop a strong, motivated team
Ideal candidate:

We're Hiring!!

CBL (Clive Barford Ltd) Mobile Service Engineer in Newbury area

Your role will be to service, maintain and repair our hire fleet which are the leading brands in their field. As we are the main dealer for Takeuchi Mini Excavators, Thwaites Dumpers, Bomag Compaction, Atlas Copco & Epiroc you will expected to carry out warranty work plus service & repair our customers machinery. The company will provide the successful candidate with excellent training opportunities.

This is a permanent role, Monday – Friday, 42.5 hours per week.

The right candidate must be adaptable with good problem-solving & communication skills to work closely with our depot teams, customers & manufacturers.

You will need the following skills / abilities for the role of fitter / service engineer:

• Experience in servicing and repairing manufacturers plant equipment.
• Experienced in diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Trained to NVQ level 2 or 3 Plant Maintenance preferred (but not essential)
• Work effectively within a team.
• Have your own tools.
