🌞 SOLAR MYTH‑BUSTING TIME!
Thinking about solar panels, battery storage or an EV charger — but heard a few… interesting rumours?
Let’s clear things up, Lincolnshire 👇
❌ MYTH 1: “Solar panels don’t work in the UK.”
🌤️ TRUTH: They absolutely do. Solar PV works in daylight, not heat — and Lincolnshire gets plenty of it. Some of our best generation days are cool and bright.
❌ MYTH 2: “You need a south-facing roof or it’s pointless.”
🧭 TRUTH: South is great, but east/west roofs perform brilliantly too. We design around your roof — not a perfect one in a textbook.
❌ MYTH 3: “Battery storage is only for big houses.”

❌ MYTH 4: “You can only charge a solar battery with sunshine.”
✅ FACT: Modern solar batteries can also be charged using cheap off-peak electricity from your energy supplier.
You can top up overnight at low night-rate prices, then use that stored energy during the day when electricity costs more — a great way to boost savings (even on cloudy days).
