Quantity Surveyor / Estimator / Operations Manager
£26,000 - £30,000 with performance related bonuses

Home Improvement Services (Builders) Limited are a fast growing, dynamic 'local' general building contractor based in Grove, Oxfordshire. We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator / Operations Manager to oversee our projects from the beginning through to the end. The successful candidate will bring a fresh attitude along with knowledge and expertise in all aspects involved in project management, such as utilising resources, deciding which construction methods are appropriate & cost effective and ensuring achievement of predetermined objectives of cost, time and quality.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing BOQ's
- Sourcing materials
- Creating work/time schedules
- Evaluating contracts (staff and trades)
- Liaising with the client
- Ensuring deliveries arrive on time
- Overseeing contractors
- Allocating work to the team
- Assisting with the review of employees
- Keeping and maintaining appropriate site records
- Ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently
- Monitoring budgets to ensure profitability

Your experience:
- Qualifications in Quantity Surveying is preferable but not essential
- SMSTS certification is desirable
- Experience in similar roles is desirable

About you:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Fresh 'can-do' attitude willing to learn
- High computer literacy skills in the Microsoft package; Word, Excel & Outlook in particular
- Clean driving licence

The successful applicant will have use of the company vehicle to travel between the office and site.

Home Improvement Services (Builders) Limited are a fast growing, dynamic 'local' general building contractor based in Grove, Oxfordshire. We are looking for a Site Foreman to oversee our projects, coordinating activities to make sure they run on time and to budget ensuring maximum profit.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Site Safety
- Evaluating contracts (staff and trades)
- Liaising with the client
- Ensuring deliveries arrive on time
- Overseeing contractors
- Allocating work to the team
- Assisting with the review of employees
- Supervising works
- Keeping and maintaining appropriate site records
- Ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently
- Monitoring budgets to ensure profitability

Your experience:
- 5+ years' experience is desirable although other candidates will be considered
- First Aid Trained
- Experience in similar levels of responsibility

About you:
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Can-do attitude willing to get involved with the team
- Full driving licence with use of own vehicle (travel expenses will be reimbursed)
- You'll have access to your own tools
