This criteria is set by EKOenergy, the international, not-for-profit ecolabel for electricity and gas. It means the energy is generated in locations ensuring marine and bird habitats are safeguarded, plus it supports renewable energy projects around the world.

Last spring, we visited the farm that cares for the dairy cows who produce the 'waste' (poo!) responsible for generating some of our renewable energy.

Stephen takes a zero-waste approach to his farming and has also utilised the roof space on his barn, and topped it with solar panels. We buy any excess energy from him to sell to our customers!
