We took this roof off a shared freehold building in Clapham because it had ‘roof spread’. We are installing steels and rebuilding a new roof with membrane, ventilation and rockwool insulation.
We expect to have it completed by the end of the month.
Note that we have a tin roof (always!) on the scaffold which enables us to work in any weather.

Our loft project in Kensington is complete.
The railings around the terrace were from a reclamation yard (we do just need to increase the height on them).
The wardrobe doors were also reclaimed together with the shower door and the basin stand in the bathroom.
We think it looks great! 😊

For the last year, Tom, our Managing Director, has been training hard and preparing to row the Atlantic Ocean, 3000 miles from the Canary Islands to Antigua, setting off on 12th December.
He is in a team of 4 and they expect it to take somewhere between 35 and 40 days.
Tom is raising money for Cure Parkinson’s.

The terrace tiles on our current Kensington loft has been laid on top of these adjustable pedestals.
The water runs between the tiles (no grout) and the tiles are anti slip.
The railings around the outside were bought, by the client, from a reclamation yard and we adapted them to fit.
The bricks, on the side of the conversion, are in fact ‘brick slips’ (not real bricks). The advantage of this is that they are much lighter and cheaper and we think they look really good! 😊

The loft in Kensington is taking shape. The dormer window openings and leadwork are ready for the windows to be fitted. We are about to break through the roof for the staircase which should be done in the next couple of weeks. Exciting times!
