Today we welcomed back Colin Dundas, the incredibly talented sign writer and painter behind many of the hand painted Fitzbillies branch logos 👏🎨

This one was a serious piece of artwork, so Colin even had a helping hand today to bring it to life.

Seeing the character and craftsmanship go into these finishing touches is something special… and it’s another big moment for the Fitzbillies Harston project as everything starts coming together.

Traditional skills, steady hands, and lots of patience 👌

A small detail… but a big moment 👀

The new Fitzbillies coffee & bakery signage is officially going up at Harston, and suddenly this project feels very close to opening day.

From an empty shell to a café starting to find its identity, it’s been great seeing everything come together week by week.

Massive effort from all trades involved to get us to this stage.

The countdown is on ☕️🥐

Yesterday we carried out electrical works for our valued client Focal Point Positioning, installing additional power and data sockets within their lab in Cambridge.

Another smooth job completed by the team, helping create a practical and efficient workspace ready for continued growth and development.

Second time lucky… ⚡️🚐🪚

After our first attempt at an electric van didn’t exactly fill us with confidence on the mileage front 😅, we thought we’d give EV life one more go… and this time things are looking much better.

The latest addition to the CB1 fleet is officially on the road, with a much improved range, lower running costs and plenty of room for the tools and materials needed for busy fit-out projects across Cambridge and beyond.

As a company we’re also trying to make more conscious choices where we can, and moving towards electric vehicles is one small step in reducing our environmental impact while keeping the team moving efficiently day to day

Safe to say technology has moved on a bit since our first attempt!

Here’s hoping this one spends more time on site than plugged into a charger…

Big week on site at Fitzbillies new HQ in Harston, and the place is really starting to come together 👌

Feature brick wall has now been pointed, electrical 2nd fix is well underway, more boarding has gone in, plaster going on the walls, fire stopping is progressing, and the new counters are now fitted with their worktops in place, a big step in bringing the café space to life.

The next few weeks are set to be full-on as we push towards completion of the café element… and we can’t wait to show you more of what’s coming.
