It's nice to hear how the grants we have issued are helping the local community. Most recently, we received some lovely feedback from the Verwood Friendship Club:

"On Thursday 18th August we hired the Branksome Dene Community Room overlooking Poole Bay. ... we arranged ...for freshly fried fish and chips to be delivered to us by the well known Chez Fred Restaurant in Westbourne. Transport to and from Verwood was made possible using a 35 seater coach hired from the North Dorset Coach company and the loan of a mini-bus including driver from the Ferndown Arthritis Group. The weather was especially kind and allowed many of our members to either sit outside taking in stunning views of both the Isle of Wight and Old Harry Rocks or in a few cases to even go down to the water’s edge to dip their feet in the sea. The outing was a huge success and very much enjoyed by everyone. However, what made the day particularly significant and successful was the fact that the cost of the outing was almost exclusively sponsored by a generous donation from the Verwood Solar Farm Fund Group, a local community group which administers a portion of their profits to be given as grants to successful applicants. Their support was very much appreciated."

We look forward to hearing what they'll be getting up to next!
