⚠️❄️ it’s that time of year again

⚠️❄️ FROZEN CONDENSATE PIPE ❄️⚠️

Had lots of phone calls this morning already 🆘

Condensing boilers have a condensate pipe which leads acidic water, produced within the boiler, away from the unit to drain. Many condensate pipes are external to the property (white/black plastic pipe) and as these contain liquid they are prone to freezing in extreme cold 🥶

The signs to look for are;
- Frost & Ice forming around the pipe itself
- Gurgling/rumbling noise coming from the boiler
- The boiler locking out and going into a fault condition, leaving you without heating or hot water

Luckily this can often be fixed easily and without the cost of an emergency call out 💰

‼️TOP TIP ‼️
You can thaw out your frozen condense pipe by applying warm (not boiling) water to the frozen condensate pipe ✅

Try this and reset your boiler.

One of our recent bathroom refurbs for a customer in Warrington 👌🏻 Marble wet wall panels on this one giving a nice alternative to tiles 🤩 old bath removed and replaced with a walk in shower tray giving the bathroom a more spacious feel 💯
