Thats me done for 3 weeks now and a very excited break away with the family. With everything going on in the industries and uncertainty we all need something to look forward to and we will be making the most of what florida can offer us again. That once in a lifetime holiday is now twice in a lifetime.

So I have had my head down in paperwork for weeks now and just updating general things within the business but I have seen a lot on linked in about good businesses closing. Constant rises in everything every few months while not being able to get any more is business su***de, there is definite profiteering from situations and any thought of small companies like us trying to increase costs just sees the work go overseas. Every year we see margins get lower due to cheap overseas material and labour even though the quality is never matched and while we have always tried to be fair and as long as we are all in profit I have been happy to work with our customers on costings, this being said where do we all see this country in 18 months. I dont see it mentioned on the TV because of constant distractions or war and sports and government turmoil but everywhere I look i see businesses closing and empty industrial units.

Selecting through some images of recent work we have completed out and dont get me wrong we have done a lot of fine work, not without challenges along the way but we are working hard.

Manufacturing at the minute seems to feel like we have it all against us but as engineers do we find a way to navigate and work through the problems, who knows what the future holds and where this country is going to take us all I know is head down and get on with it.

Focusing on what we can at protek getting jobs done and out the door. Things are hard to navigate at the minute with constant change and requirements all over not just with day to day tasks but the whole dynamics of business seems to be a little all over the place and hard to judge but we take everything thrown at us and carry get our heads down. Having a great team around and those that know what they are doing is obviously a massive help to have when these challenges come so again.

It has been a busy month and getting close to Easter where we are having a break. The lads have massively performed and dealt with a lot thrown at us and just cracking on. Well proud of what this team has performed this month so far, into the last push.

We shipped these valve components this week to a customer and we tend to do test fits when we make multiple parts of a build. Sometimes this allows us to spot any interfering areas or in this case where the parts fit perfectly.

Leaving office duties today and getting my hands dirty for once. Its nice to get on the machines from time to time but while the work is needed I am jumping in to help with the workload.
