The industry-wide transition from Siemens Comfort Panels to the Unified Panel platform is becoming increasingly clear. Comfort Panels were the “new generation” not long ago — yet today, Unified is rapidly taking their place as the preferred choice for modern automation systems.
With each project we deliver at AG Controls, we see this shift becoming more relevant. On a recent system we’re building — involving motion control, multiple HMIs, and a fully integrated TIA Portal environment — Siemens themselves recommended Unified Panels over Comfort to ensure long-term support and better performance.
Unified Panels didn’t start perfectly; like any new platform, they had their early challenges. But the technology has matured quickly.
