I'd be lost without my laser measure! This morning it took a bit of a hunt to locate it but it will be coming with me to my first site visit of the year. As a SAP Assessor quite often most projects are plan based so it's always great when I get an opportunity to visit sites and see construction progress in person.

News regarding the new Home Energy Model

The Government has confirmed that both Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP 10.3) and the Home Energy Model (HEM) will be used to calculate compliance with the Future Homes Standard (FHS) as part of a phased transition for new build homes.

This is still very much in proposal stage with a lot more consultation before anything is rolled out. Though improving existing building stock is essential to meeting a reduction in emissions, as well as beneficial to the tenants! It is well worth being aware of and begin to consider how you may improve your existing homes
