Following on from our last post some more thank yous. Gallons Demolition did a fantastic job of demolishing the old house and clearing the site ready for the work to begin. The foundations were excavated by us with the help of Gary Harman who is a wizard on a machine. Then we laid all the floors and underfloor heating which was carried out in expert fashion by Blue Diamond plumbing and heating. Then we started preparing for the superstructures.

As I come to the end of a gruelling 12 months of 2x self builds after a year of bats and birds, elation and disappointment and every emotion under the sun. I will start to say lots of thankyous ( in no specific order of merit but maybe in chronological order ) to outstanding professionals who have worked with us. It hasn’t been easy or unstressful to get to this stage by any means
throughout this project but we are due to handover the first of 2 within the next 2 weeks.

Carl Varney and John Varney for giving us the confidence to take this on in the first place.

Carl Varney again, for being our mentor from day minus 3 years up to present. He had the patience of a saint whilst preparing the drawings from revision A - X then guiding us through the build process. These are photos the beginning.
