📍 BOILER SERVICE – MACCLESFIELD

Today's service was a Vaillant ecoFIT pure 830 — a good boiler, but unfortunately one that hadn't been serviced for around 4 years. 🔧🔥

The new owner of the property wisely decided to have it properly serviced before winter.

And the timing was good.

Once opened up, I found:

⚠️ A very dirty heat exchanger
⚠️ A condensate trap close to becoming blocked
⚠️ Clear signs that this boiler was overdue some attention

After a thorough clean and full service, everything was checked, reassembled and tested correctly. ✅

There's nothing fundamentally wrong with this boiler — it simply needed the maintenance it had been missing.

The customer has only recently bought the property and, after seeing what four years without servicing can look like, he's definitely planning to make annual servicing a habit from now on! 👍

A good example of why having the boiler checked before the heating season starts makes sense.

📍 BOILER SERVICE & REPAIR – SALE

Today's job was a Vaillant ecoTEC pro 28 with an interesting pressure problem. 🔧🔥

The customer had noticed the system was losing pressure when cold, but when the heating came on, the pressure climbed considerably.

After carrying out the service and diagnostic checks, the problem was traced to the expansion vessel, including a faulty Schrader valve.

The valve was replaced, the expansion vessel correctly recharged and the system tested.

Problem solved. 👍

The customer's favourite part?

When I explained that the tiny replacement valve itself cost less than £1! 😄

Sometimes a boiler problem that looks worrying doesn't require an expensive collection of parts — it requires the correct diagnosis.

📍 BOILER SERVICE – BRAMHALL

Today's annual service was on an Ideal Heating Vogue 40kW, now 5 years old and serviced every year since installation. 🔥🔧

Everything checked out perfectly — no faults and no issues to report.

What made today's visit interesting was the customer's own experience.

He openly admitted that with his previous boiler, annual servicing wasn't something he really bothered with.

Unfortunately, that boiler only lasted around 6 years before breaking down.

I replaced it with this Ideal Vogue five years ago and, since then, he's made sure the new boiler is professionally serviced every single year.

Another thorough annual boiler service completed today in Macclesfield on an Ideal Heating Logic Max 2 30kW combination boiler. 🔧🔥

For this service, the boiler received a full open service — properly opening the appliance, inspecting and cleaning the components as required, checking seals and reassembling everything before completing the necessary safety and combustion checks.

The customer was actually surprised by how much work is involved in a thorough boiler service.

📍 Boiler Service – Macclesfield

Today's boiler service in Macclesfield was on an Ideal Heating Logic ESP1 35kW combination boiler with a heat recovery unit, installed in a new-build property.

This was the boiler's third annual service, and everything was working exactly as it should.
