Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are undergoing important changes to better reflect how buildings actually use energy and to support the transition to low-carbon homes. The updated approach will move beyond simply rating properties on energy costs and place greater emphasis on carbon emissions, heating systems, insulation, and overall energy efficiency. These changes aim to give homeowners, buyers, and tenants clearer guidance on how to improve a property’s performance, reduce energy bills, and contribute to the UK’s net-zero goals. ♻️🏡
