As recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month this May. At The Wellbeing Group, we’re known for providing workplace refreshments, from coffee machines to water coolers and hot taps. But every so often, we receive calls from individuals who are actually seeking mental health support, having mistaken our company name for a helpline.
In those moments, what stands out most is our Client Care team.
Without hesitation, they respond with empathy, patience, and genuine care. They take the time to listen, reassure, and gently guide callers towards the right professional support services. It’s not part of a script, it’s simply who they are. We’re incredibly proud of how our team handles these situations. It’s a reminder that wellbeing isn’t just about the products and experiences we provide, but about the people behind them and the culture we create. In these situations, they really put the ‘Care’ into Client Care and have inspired us all on how we can be better at looking out for each other.
As a business, we’re committed to fostering a supportive environment, for our clients, our colleagues, and anyone who reaches out to us, even unexpectedly. Please remember to take those moments of respite in your working day, to value those water cooler catch-ups and coffee break chats - you might just help change someone’s perspective on their day, or even your own.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to recognise the quiet, compassionate moments that often go unseen, and the people who make them happen every day.
