Another successful installation completed during a quiet production period 🧑🏼‍🏭

All pre-fabricated pipework was successfully installed during a scheduled quiet period at one of our customers' sites.

The heat exchanger (HX) was initially connected using temporary flexible hose to allow us to confirm the system was suitable for the application.

Once confirmed, the new stainless steel pipework was measured, fabricated and installed.

The complete system was then re-bled to remove any trapped air, ensuring everything was ready to go back into production.

Another job completed from start to finish, with minimal disruption to the customer's operation.

End of another week at GL Engineering!

Another productive week with a variety of fabrication, installation and breakdown work completed.

🔹 Condensing flue finished and ready for installation.

🔹 Large drip tray fabricated for a neighbouring company.

🔹 Late-night breakdown in Blackpool due to a failed NRV. A quick response saw the repair completed and the system back up and running with minimal downtime.

🔹 Pre-fabricated silo intake pipework installed.

🔹 Trip over to Stoke to measure up new pipework to replace flexible hose, all fabricated ready for installation next week.

🔹 More materials ordered and prepared for an upcoming job.

A busy week all round, with plenty more in the pipeline !

It’s been another productive few weeks here at GL Engineering and Welding, with plenty of fabrication work completed and more projects underway.

🔹 Following the completion of the initial five IBC frames, we’ve now completed a further 20 frames in quick succession.

🔹 Three drip trays have been fabricated and successfully delivered.

🔹 New silo intake pipework and support brackets have been prefabricated and are ready for installation.

🔹 We’re currently fabricating a new steam condensing flue, ready for our next trip up north. Looking forward to seeing this one installed!

It’s been another busy few weeks here at GL Engineering 🧑🏼‍🏭

Our latest project has got underway up in Cumbria for a new customer, including the installation of pipework on two hot liquor tanks, a cold liquor tank and a hop tank.

The first batch of five stainless steel IBC frames have been completed and delivered.

A new CIP manifold has also been fabricated and is ready for installation on site.

We’ve also completed the relocation and installation of an inline UV filter.

Another busy period with plenty more work underway!

Shutdown Installation Completed 🔧

Another successful shutdown project completed this week at a local tissue manufacturing facility.

The works included the installation of:

10mm high-pressure water line
12mm glue line
16mm hydraulic lines

Also a delivery of materials ready for the fabrication of a new CIP manifold and UV filter pipework.

A selection of projects completed over the past few weeks:
Installation of a 2" 5D vacuum line.
Fabrication and installation of a new pivoting griddle plate.
Installation of 16 new blowdown tubes, mirror welded in position during a scheduled shutdown.
Installation of a pump and associated 2" pipework.
Currently working on a local site, assisting with the installation of two new 4" water lines.

Several jobs completed recently :

- Heat exchanger install
- Fabricated and fitted pre-fabbed spools during a shutdown.
- Continuing to assist a valued customer in Sunderland with an ongoing project.
- 1" spool for a new customer in south Wales.

Last week was productive on the road, putting the miles in.

- First stop was Cumbria for a meeting with a potential new customer.
- Next, over to the east to Sunderland to assist an existing customer with a current project.
- I made a stop in Congleton on my way home to visit a customer needing some modifications.
- Finally, spools were completed over the weekend in preparation for site on Monday.

Looking forward to what this week will bring !

It's been a bit quiet here lately, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy.
