⚓🛟As we celebrate National Volunteers’ week (1st June – 7th June), we’re incredibly proud to recognise one of our own team members, Nathan Reed (MBS Contracts Manager), for his dedication as a volunteer RNLI lifeboat crew member with Weymouth Lifeboat.🦺🚨

His commitment to keeping people safe at sea and devoting his own time to serving the community, is a fantastic example of the social values we champion as an organisation – putting others first, supporting the community and making a positive difference where it matters most.

Thank you Nathan Reed, for everything you do, both within our MBS team and through your vital volunteer work. Your passion and commitment make a real difference, and we’re honoured to have you as part of our team.

Powering the future of EV charging ⚡🚗

We are pleased to share that we have successfully completed the installation of 8 twin and 1 single 22 kW ROLEC EV chargers, delivering a total of 17 charging points at Garador, Yeovil. Each unit has been fitted with fixed tethered leads, providing a more convenient and user friendly charging experience as requested by the customer.

To support the installation, we also carried out the addition of two new distribution boards and supplies, ensuring a robust and reliable electrical infrastructure.

⚡⚡We are pleased to share some photos of works we carried out at Garador Ltd, Yeovil, where we upgraded two switch panels to improve system reliability and future-proof the setup, incorporating spare capacity to allow for redundancy and any future expansion. This enhancement ensures that any additional machinery or factory equipment can be integrated seamlessly with minimal disruption, supporting operational efficiency and longer-term scalability for our client. 🚧

Our works included:

💡Replacement of emergency lighting throughout the factory
💡Replacing upgraded 2500 & 1600 Amp Switch Panels including new Power Factor correction units
💡Installation of new palisade fencing around newly replaced Switch Panels

⚡⚡We are proud to share some recent electrical works that the MBS team carried out for members of our local community who needed our help in making their spaces safe and fully operational. 🤝💡

As a local business, we fully believe in supporting those around us whenever we can. It’s always rewarding to use our skills and expertise to make a positive difference in our community.

Our recent community works have included:

• Installation of potentially life-saving defibrillators in Yeovil town and at Progress Gym

• Installation of additional new lighting in the upstairs mezzanine floor of Sherborne Foodbank to allow volunteers to safely access the space

We are proud of the team for giving their time and skills to something that matters and could one day benefit all of us.

Great to see the finished result at Hunts Food Hall, Blackmarsh Farm, after completing the full electrical installation.⚡

Starting with an empty barn, we carried out the complete electrical fit-out to transform the space into a fully functioning farm shop. 🍎

Our work included:

✔️ All internal and external lighting installation
✔️ Full CCTV & data cabling
✔️ Complete power installation
✔️ Dedicated supplies for all fridges, freezers, air conditioning and till points

A great project to be part of and fantastic to see the space now up and running! 💡

It was a great opportunity for Mark and Charlotte from the MBS team to connect with other industry leaders, share insights and discuss the future of supply chain innovation. 🏗️

Happy National Apprenticeship Week 2026🎉(9th Feb – 15th Feb)

We’re incredibly proud of our 3 apprentices, Tom Lancaster, Ellis Sutherland, and Tom Shire and equally as proud of our adult trainee James David.

National Apprentice Week is our chance to highlight the value of hands-on learning in the industrial and commercial electrical industry, and our apprentices certainly prove this. Learning our trade takes focus, resilience and effort and our team of apprentices and trainees show these qualities every day.

Thanks to Dai & team inc from (Mildren Building Services) for their input during the Mezz build. As project manager Mark pulled together an aggressive timeline & got us open 6 days ahead of schedule🌪️Mark & Dai should be proud of their team & the work they put in! Those 💡 though 😮‍💨
