I do not remember when i first became eco-conscious. I do not remember when i made my decision to use my scarce honed skills not for wealth, but to help loosen man's chocking neck-grip on Mother Earth, if it was even a finger at a time.
I know I could have been a Doctor, an Engineer or anything else I wanted. But I knew I would not have been happy, but to dedicate my full time and energies into what made me happy, one step at a time.
One step at a time meant starting at home, in my fathers house...then my country.
But unfortunately, Ghana my motherland is motherland, is no place to have such dreams. Concerns about the environment is on paper, not in practice.
Eco-Prenuers like me are paid lip service and smiled at, with admiration, but nobody, no government, no investor, no NGO would lift a finger in our direction, as we battle each recycling/upcycling experiment from our own pockets, and we want to give up.
But when i see such initiatives as in this video, I am reiginted, rearmed, and i think once again, that it is possible, that the Earth can breath again, that we don't have to be rich to live in a cleaner world, that we are not alone, that others were where we are now, before they got to where they are.
So, kudos guys. Well done.
