REASONS FOR MOST FAILED BIOFIL DIGESTERS.
1. Poor slope of waste pipe, when PVC pipe/ drain is chocked or when septic is full.
Every digester needs to be connected to a pvc pipe to transport the water to a drain, septic or soakaway. When the septic/storage tank gets full, pipe works get chocked or have poor slope, the digester will eventually fail since the water will be returning back into the digester. This may cause waste water leaking around the digester and sometimes the WC.
2. Chocked Digester.
This can occur when you keep dumping foreign materials such as pads, Daipers, too much T rolls, etc which cannot easily dissolve into the WC. These stuffs will enable the digester to get chocked and get full since digestion can no longer take place in the system. The system is designed in such a way that the flushed faeces is filtered and the remains is digested and converted to water and flows into a drain/soakaway.
3. Improper/unqualified installation.
If you’re not lucky to meet a qualified personnel, you shouldn’t expect a proper installation.
4. Too much pressure on digester.
If the digester is designed for minimum of nine people and you go above that, you may experience failure of digester. Mind you, there’re some individuals who can produce faeces quantity of what 4-5 people can produce. Therefore the installer needs to consider that, esp some obsessed people.
5. Failed Soakaway
This usual occur in water lodged areas where soakaway cannot hold. Some people forcefully construct Soakaway in water lodge areas where there’re no drains because that’s the cheapest option at that moment, but it ends up costing them a lot when it fails.
It’s advisable to channel the waste water from the digester to a garden or a septic tank for dislodging in such situation.
6. Finally, using of harmful chemicals and introduction of fake Biozymes or Biofil chemicals in digester during installation and routinely. Chemicals such as bleach and powerful detergents will destroy organisms in the digester that digest the faeces.
It’s advisable to use mild detergent such us mild liquid soaps in small quantities to clean the WC.
It’s also advisable to routinely introduce Biozyme into the system to replace the destroyed organisms. You can always contact IMENS Engineering on 0244145166 for the service of a good Biofil digester.
