PHENOMENAL WOMEN, YOUR HEALTH MATTERS!

We engineer solutions. We build systems. We shape the future.

But let’s not forget to take care of the woman behind the hard hat! 💗

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let’s prioritise our health, recognise unusual changes and seek medical advice when needed.

Because the world needs your brilliance, but most importantly, it needs YOU!

🎀 ENGINEER YOUR HEALTH. EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES.

The Ghana Institution of Engineering, Branch 1 W**E Conference 2026 was a wonderful opportunity to engage and inspire secondary school and university students under the theme “Women Engineers Shaping Africa’s Future: Leadership, Innovation and Emerging Technologies.”

Our Chairperson, Ing. Naki Tetteh-Anowie, delivered the keynote address, encouraging the students to stay curious, build their competence, embrace opportunities, seek mentorship and prepare themselves to solve problems, create value and make meaningful impact.

We were also proud to have Ing. Dr Lucy Agyepong, our Communications and Branding Lead, speak on artificial intelligence and the future of engineering careers for women, and Ing. Alberta Maame Wusuah Amankwaa, our Mentoring, Coaching and Education Lead, share inspiring lessons on leadership, resilience and impact.

It was also a pleasure to listen to Ama Duncan, CEO of Fabulous Women Network, as she shared practical insights on moving from engineer to entrepreneur and creating wealth and impact through innovation.

Thank you to GhIE Branch 1 for creating such a valuable platform for the next generation of engineers.

We join in the celebration as Ghana marks her 69th Independence Day. As Engineering practitioners, we recognize our role in contributing to the theme of “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope.”
As well all commit to ‘doing it well and doing it right’, we are confident that our dear nation will reap many benefits, including economic growth to inspire optimism among citizens. God bless our homeland Ghana! 🇬🇭
