Celebrating the impact of the Asanko Scholarship Programme in empowering students and easing financial challenges for families in our host communities. Now in it's second year, the programme supports students pursuing various tertiary programmes across the country by covering tuition, accommodation and other approved academic expenses. Words like these from our own Esaase Hemaa during this year’s Mother’s Day celebration were a heartfelt reminder of why moments like this continue to matter. For many of the mothers, it was a rare opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life, share laughter, connect with one another, and simply enjoy being celebrated and appreciated. Asanko Gold Ghana Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Justice Fenteng, MBA, FWAIMM, FAusIMM, MGhIE, as General Manager, effective, 1 April 2026. This appointment forms part of the company’s strategic realignment, reflecting a renewed focus on strong leadership, operational discipline, and sustainable growth.

Mr. Fenteng brings extensive mining leadership experience across Ghana and Australia, including his most recent role at Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd. Between 2007 and 2013, he held senior leadership roles at three Australian operations: Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Karara Mining Ltd., and AngloGold Ashanti.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wolverhampton, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology. He is also a Certified Mine Manager by the Minerals Commission of Ghana, a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering, a Fellow of both the West African Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

We congratulate him on his appointment and wish him success as he leads Asanko into its next phase.

Partnering with the District Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service - Amansie West, Asanko Gold Ghana successfully engaged over 500 community members at Abore Community School for World Malaria Day 2026.

Our outreach delivered free health screenings, malaria testing and treatment, health education, and distributed treated mosquito nets. Together, we are driving real change towards healthier communities and a malaria-free future. Catch the highlights and witness the positive difference we’ve made!
