Remember this plastic waste? ♻️

A few weeks ago, I shared a truck carrying loose used plastics to be processed.

Today, I came across what appears to be the next stage — the material compressed into large bales and being transported onward.

It’s interesting to see another part of the recycling chain with my own eyes.

Collection → processing → movement back into the value chain.

Waste really can become a resource when the right systems exist.

The more interesting question now is: where does it go next? 👀♻️

There is value moving on this truck. ♻️

I came across this vehicle loaded with used plastics being transported to where they are sold.

It made me think: people are already collecting, trading and transporting plastic waste. But how much more value could Ghana create with stronger collection systems and recycling infrastructure?

Waste can be more than a disposal problem. With the right systems, it can support livelihoods, cleaner communities and a circular economy.

How can Ghana get more value from the plastic waste we already generate? 🇬🇭♻️
