We are feeling Grateful today!

Today, we want to say thank you to God and to everyone who continues to support the journey of innovation, engineering, and technology development.

🏆 Our talented students, David Otitiaku and Salifu Iddrisu, received Certificates of Innovation Participation at the 4th Applied Research Conference of Technical Universities of Ghana (ARCTUG 2026) after participating in the Students' Innovation Challenge on Innovative Product Development.
🏆 Kumasi Technical University was recognised for participating in the Technical Universities’ Innovation Challenge, highlighting our commitment to innovation, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship.

We are also thrilled to see activities of The K-Innovation Hub (TKH) featured in the official KsTU 2026 Calendar, showcasing the impact of innovation, creativity, and technology development on our campus.

Congratulations to all our students, collaborators, and partners. The journey continues.

It was a great honour for the K-Innovation Hub (TKH), in collaboration with the Center for Technology Transfer and Skills Development (CTTSD), to represent Kumasi Technical University at the ongoing ARCTUG 2026 Conference and Exhibition hosted by Takoradi Technical University.

Our team proudly showcased several student-generated innovations including the Multi-Purpose Solar Dryer, Smart Water Treatment System, and the Smart Power Hub. Visitors also experienced immersive technologies through our Virtual Reality (VR) devices and live demonstrations of our 3D Printing technologies.

A major highlight of the exhibition was the rare privilege of interacting with the President of the Republic of Ghana, whose visit to our stand served as a strong motivation to continue driving innovation, practical engineering, and technology-driven solutions for national development.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Team KsTU for their dedication, creativity, and hard work. Special gratitude also goes to the Vice Chancellor and Management of KsTU for their continuous support towards innovation, research, and skills development.

They say you can’t see 70 years of history in one day, but Day 2 of the Kumasi Technical University Alumni Homecoming came pretty close.
Standing in front of the New Great Hall, the K-Innovation Hub team had one goal: to show our alumni, royalty, and visiting dignitaries that while our school’s foundation was built seven decades ago, we are busy building the next century.
It wasn't just a display; it was an experience. We had:
• The High-Flyers: Drones and aircraft taking center stage.
• The Builders: 3D printers and laser engravers turning digital ideas into physical reality.
• The Problem-Solvers: From VR controllers and smart powerhubs.
• The Sustainers: Real-world tech like hydroponic systems, rocket stoves, smart water treatment and quality monitoring systems and automated fish feeders.
The best part of the day? Watching members of state, royalty and alumni who graduated decades ago light up while testing the VR controllers or asking about the mechanics of our drones. It’s a powerful reminder that curiosity doesn't have an expiration date.
Honored to have shared our work with such an esteemed audience. If this is what Day 2 looks like, the future of innovation here is in good hands.

We had an amazing experience at the conference in Ho under the Ghana Institution of Engineering , representing the KsTU Innovation Hub.

One of the biggest highlights was our exhibition, where we showcased some of our innovative student projects:
•3D printer
•Drone piloting demonstrations
•Laser engraver
•Hydroponic system
•Smart power hub
• Smart bins

It was inspiring to see people engage with our work, ask questions, and appreciate the effort behind these innovations.

Beyond the exhibition, we had meaningful conversations, learned from industry professionals, and gained fresh inspiration to keep building.

“At K-innovation Hub, we don’t just champion innovation we champion confidence, creativity, and the power to turn ideas into real-world solutions.

We are proud to represent KsTU and even more excited about what’s ahead for the Innovation Hub

It was thrilling and an honour to have Bantamahene visit our stand to experience VR. The VR experience is one of the many exhibits the hub displayed at the 70th anniversary.
