From Wa to the Continent! A huge congratulations to Dr. Tony Basingnaa Chief Executive Officer of BIL Clinical Laboratories for being honoured as one of Africa's Most Influential Leaders at the 100 African Most Influential Persons Awards!
Dr. Tony Basingnaa is not just a name, he is a PILLAR in Ghana's healthcare system.
He is a Pioneer of Quality Diagnostics in Upper West region who started BIL Clinical Laboratories in 2007 with just 2 staff and grew it into a state-of-the-art facility targeting International ISO 15189 & WHO standards.
Dr. Tony believes 70% of medical decisions depend on lab results, so quality must never be compromised. Not even a 1% error in results.
From 2 to over 30 professional Medical Laboratory Scientists, he has created jobs and mentored countless young scientists in the Upper West Region and beyond as an entrepreneur and regional lab director/scientist.
As Upper West Regional Laboratory Scientist, he continues to champion professionalism, integrity and teamwork at the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists (GAMLS).
His work in raising laboratory standards in a deprived region to international level is an inspiration that excellence can start from anywhere.
This award is not for him alone, it's for Wa, for Upper West, for Ghana!
