Our CEO, Aristotelis Chantavas, participated in RES Serbia 2026, joining the discussion on the next phase of renewable energy growth in Serbia and the wider Western Balkans.

Speaking at the panel “Wind Energy: The Driving Force of Energy Independence”, he highlighted the significant opportunities emerging across the region and the contribution that Terna Energy can make to Masdar’s vision for growth in Eastern Europe.

The discussion came one day after the inauguration of the 154 MW Čibuk 2 wind farm, an important milestone for Masdar’s growing presence in Serbia and a strong backdrop for the conversations shaping the region’s energy future.

Terna Energy looks forward to supporting this next phase of regional growth, drawing on its technical capabilities, operational experience and knowledge of the markets in which it operates.

10 χρόνια Άγιος Γεώργιος. Καινοτομία με μετρήσιμο αποτύπωμα.

Το 2016, η Τέρνα Ενεργειακή έθεσε σε λειτουργία το αιολικό πάρκο του Αγίου Γεωργίου, ένα έργο ορόσημο για την ελληνική αγορά ενέργειας.

Σε μια ακατοίκητη νησίδα, 11 ναυτικά μίλια από την Αττική, δημιουργήθηκε το πρώτο χερσαίο αιολικό πάρκο στην Ελλάδα με χαρακτηριστικά υπεράκτιου έργου. Με 23 ανεμογεννήτριες, συνολική ισχύ 73,2 MW και σύνδεση με το ηπειρωτικό σύστημα μέσω υποθαλάσσιου καλωδίου υψηλής τάσης, ο Άγιος Γεώργιος συνδύασε τεχνική καινοτομία με απαιτητική κατασκευαστική εκτέλεση.

Δέκα χρόνια μετά, η συνεισφορά του αποτυπώνεται σε συγκεκριμένα μεγέθη:

● 2,1 TWh καθαρής ηλεκτρικής ενέργειας
● Περίπου 1 εκατ. τόνοι CO₂ που αποφεύχθηκαν
● Παραγωγή που αντιστοιχεί στις ετήσιες ανάγκες περίπου 50.000 νοικοκυριών

Ο Άγιος Γεώργιος εξακολουθεί να αποτελεί σημείο αναφοράς για την ικανότητα της Τέρνα Ενεργειακή να σχεδιάζει, να υλοποιεί και να λειτουργεί σύνθετες ενεργειακές υποδομές με αξιοπιστία και μακροχρόνια αξία.

Μια τεχνογνωσία που σήμερα, ως μέρος της Masdar, ενισχύει τη δυνατότητα της Τέρνα Ενεργειακής να αναπτύσσει και να υλοποιεί σύνθετες ενεργειακές υποδομές στην Ελλάδα και την Ανατολική Ευρώπη.

Γιορτάζουμε τα 20 χρόνια της Masdar.

Το στίγμα της επόμενης ημέρας για την Τέρνα Ενεργειακή παρουσίασε ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της εταιρείας, Αριστοτέλης Χαντάβας, στο 11ο Οικονομικό Φόρουμ Δελφών, υπογραμμίζοντας τον ενισχυμένο ρόλο της ως περιφερειακής πλατφόρμας της στην Ανατολική Ευρώπη.

Όπως ανέφερε, η ενεργειακή αγορά εισέρχεται σε φάση ωρίμανσης, όπου η πραγματική αξία δεν προκύπτει μόνο από την εγκατεστημένη ισχύ, αλλά από την ικανότητα υλοποίησης έργων σε κλίμακα, με αξιοπιστία, ταχύτητα και πειθαρχία στην εκτέλεση.

Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά έκανε στην Αμφιλοχία, μία από τις σημαντικότερες επενδύσεις αποθήκευσης ενέργειας στην Ευρώπη, ενώ σημείωσε ότι η συνεργασία με τη Masdar συνδυάζει διεθνή επενδυτική ισχύ με αποδεδειγμένη τοπική εκτελεστική ικανότητα.

«Η πραγματική πρόκληση δεν είναι να θέτεις φιλόδοξους στόχους, αλλά να έχεις την ικανότητα να τους υλοποιείς», τόνισε.

At the 11th Delphi Economic Forum, Aristotelis Chantavas, CEO of Terna Energy, outlined the company’s next phase of growth and its enhanced role as Masdar’s regional platform in Eastern Europe.

The energy market is entering a more mature phase, where real value is no longer defined solely by installed capacity, but by the ability to deliver projects at scale, with reliability, speed and disciplined ex*****on he noted.

He also highlighted the Amfilochia pumped storage project, one of Europe’s most significant energy storage investments, and noted that the partnership with Masdar combines global investment strength with proven local ex*****on capability.

“The real challenge is not setting ambitious targets, but having the capability to deliver them,” he said.
