Ατμομηχανή Δ. Ισηγόνη Σμύρνη - Αος 156

Η ατμομηχανή που για δεκαετίες «κινούσε» το εργοστάσιο, μέχρι να «φτάσει» το ρεύμα στον Όρμο Μαραθοκάμπου, «δούλεψε» ξανά.

Γεγονός ιδιαίτερα σημαντικό, καθώς είναι η μόνη λειτουργική ατμομηχανή από τις ελάχιστες που «επιβίωσαν» στην Ελλάδα μέχρι και σήμερα.

Και αυτό χάρη σε δύο άτομα, τον Αντώνη Πλυτά και το Βασίλειος Ζέρβας. Ο πρώτος ένα άτομο με μεγάλη εμπειρία και προσφορά στην αποκατάσταση και ανάδειξη της βιομηχανικής κληρονομιάς σε Ελλάδα και εξωτερικό και ο δεύτερος υποστηρίζοντας με το Μηχανουργείο του όλες τις εργασίες αποκατάστασης και λειτουργίας της ατμομηχανής.

Ευχαριστούμε.

The steam engine that for decades «powered» the factory, until electricity «reached» Ormos Marathokampos, «worked» again.

A particularly important event, as it is the only functioning steam engine among the few that have «survived» in Greece to this day.

And this is thanks to two people, Antonis Plytas and Vasilis Zervas, the first a person with great experience and contribution to the restoration, and promotion of industrial heritage both in Greece and abroad. And the second supporting with his machine shop all the restoration and operation work of the steam engine.
