HKU iGEM Team 2017 This is the official page for the HKU iGEM team 2017. We plan to combat and raise awareness of real-world challenges, using synthetic biology.

The International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition is back with its 15th year, encouraging premier student teams to combat real-world challenges, using Synthetic Biology. With a kit of biological parts provided to them, and with new parts of their own, they will be designing, building and operating genetically engineered biological systems in living cells. And this year, HKU is pa

rticipating in the competition once again, with our project based on “DNA Nanotechnology for Novel Diagnosis”. Apart from the intensive wet lab sessions, our teammates are heavily working on Human Practices, to collaborate with various institutions and raise awareness, and developing an “HKU iGEM 2017” webpage.
