What a fantastic evening listening to four remarkable young female athletes who are positively impacting society through their endeavors. Moderated by the talented from , the panelists shared their journeys in overcoming adversity, breaking barriers, and ultimately realizing their vision to create change in the community. It was incredibly inspiring to hear their stories first-hand and be honored to be part of it. Thank you to the four athletes for your vision. You are all role models and inspirations to me and countless others. My full respect to the women who dare to dream, who defy norms, and who never stop pushing boundaries.

Game-changing advancements in reproductive science 🧬

In-vitro gametogenesis: New technology could revolutionize reproductive options

Researchers were able to create artificial mouse embryos using stem cells - a major step towards in vitro gametogenesis (IVG). This technology has the potential to revolutionize fertility treatment, offering new options for those struggling with infertility.

Of course, many ethical considerations come with manipulating embryo development in a lab. As IVG continues to advance, we as a society need to reflect carefully on how this technology should be applied in humans.

凍卵是指將女性卵子進行低溫保存,等到將來需要生育時才進行解凍和受精。這種技術可以幫助女性在生育能力降低前存儲卵子,作為生育備選。

中國大陸在2015年開始允許凍卵,但受到一些限制。例如:

- 只有特殊情況下才允許未婚女性凍卵,如需要接受放療或化療的癌症患者。

- 未滿35周歲的女性只能凍取3個卵子,35周歲以上女性可以凍取不超過15個卵子。

- 凍卵設施分佈不均,主要集中在一線城市。

近年來,有不少女性和權益組織倡議進一步放開凍卵政策:

- 取消未婚女性凍卵的限制。

- 提高儲存時間的上限。

- 擴大凍卵設施的覆蓋面。
