今年夏天我哋搞咗個「全球 5-18 歲粵文徵文」。最後有九個國家小朋友投稿、三位評審幫我哋挑選咗 18 篇文章。有啲搞笑、有啲講對香港睇法、各有特色。然後、我哋將呢十八篇

From this summer's global children Cantonese writing initiative, our judges picked 18 pieces. Some are funny, others poignant. We took these pieces, and
* 執正用字 standardized the character choices
* 標注粵拼 annotated with Jyutping
* 翻譯英文 translated into English
* 配音朗讀 commissioned voice narration
製作成本精美小冊子（真係好靚 🥰）..and compiled into a really nice booklet.

坊間極缺有語音、粵拼+漢字、英文並行嘅材料，所以合集對教與學均有所廣益。故此，我哋決定將電子 PDF、個別故事錄音、單獨故事全部都免費公開 【連結： https://canto.hk/youth-2025/ 】。大家可以多多 forward 俾朋友、社群。

Parallel voice-Cantonese-English with co-located Jyutping is immensely useful learning material, but very costly to produce and rare. We have decided to open all of this material to the public for free, at https://canto.hk/youth-2025/ . This includes audio and standalone PDFs for individual stories, so teachers and parents can build listening / comprehension activities from it. Please share with your community.

是次活動免費投稿、搞手自資、冇機構/政府任何支援。 愛爾蘭粵語（趙媽媽）、三藩市龍門出版、同埋香港粵語工房（小弟）聯合贊助籌備。我哋希望可以吸取今次經驗，長做長有。小朋友(嘅家長教師)可以 follow cantonese.youth 留意下年徵文時間、踴躍參與；想落手落腳做嘅可以聯絡我或趙媽媽。

The Cantonese Writing Initiative was free to enter, received no government/institution support, and entirely funded by the hosts. The event was sponsored and hosted by Cantonese in Ireland, Dragon Men publishing (San Francisco), and Canto.hk. We hope to run this again in future years.

Both books have full editions available for free download. Jon Chui’s tool, Visual Fonts, accurately changes the Jyutping depending on context and can be used on a range of devices.

粵拼 廣東話歌詞集 v2 Jyutping-annotated Cantopop Lyrics v2

現 40 首、字體準確度 14913 / 14965 (99.65%)。一半需要的更正集中於「淡、輕、聲」三字，因為何時使用 口語、書面語讀音 無法預測。另一半全在 beyond 爸爸媽媽，因為重複唱不常用的 baa1 baa1 / maa1 maa1 😭 （粵語字體預設 baa4 baa1 maa4 maa1）

Now with 40 songs from diverse artists. This is also a test for the Font, and 52 characters needed correction out of 14,965.

【粵語字體：創作初心、互動示範、傳承應用】Livestream

廣東話好多時被投訴為「最難學嘅語言」；背後暨有關地緣政治、亦有關缺乏基礎性嘅技術項目。今次我哋由粵語面臨嘅挑戰講起，轉折到粵語字體魔幻式嘅互動功能示範，然後講解介紹一系列對創作者有紅利嘅項目。

Cantonese is often bemoaned as "the most difficult language". This labelling comes from the language's geopolitical history, as well the the lack of foundational tools and standards. In this livestream, we first look at the challenges for Cantonese as a language, then see the Cantonese Font in action and how it addresses these challenges, and finally introduces projects for creators using the Font.

一對青梅竹馬嘅情侶，十年嚟一直相依為命，一日丈夫突然患上失智症... Tommy and Nico were highschool sweethearts who were married for a decade; one day Tommy suddenly forgets everything...

呢套廣播劇由 學識 Hok6.com 組織、D100⁺ 電台提供製作和播出、王德全老師監製。 This radio drama was organized with Hok6.com, and produced/broadcasted by D100 radio station.

本廣播劇附有 粵語口語字幕（完美緊貼聲優演出）、全粵拼、及英文並行字幕。已安裝粵語字體嘅朋友，仲可以㩒入去互動版本。 遲兩日會再上載法文、西班牙文並排互動版本。 The screenplay is accompanied by subtitles in colloquial Cantonese, carefully matched to the exact performance by the voice actors. Jyutping was added to all the text, as well as a parallel English translation.

由諗起可以用廣播劇模式製造粵語教學，揾到機緣巧合，又解決到技術上挑戰，幾個月後終於面世，好開心啊～ I thought about using radio drama as a medium for Cantonese teaching and learning, and seeing this coming together after a few months... 🥲 🥳 🎈🥂

CantoneseLearning.com is a new labor-of-love that goes into Yue grammar. This team developed a crazy good interactive lyrics handling, where the lyrics comes in:
* both Traditional and Simplified Chinese, with

Cantonese Fonts enables entirely new categories of teaching material. One of these are radio drama with interactive transcripts, where the teacher/learners not only can listen and read statically, but also

廣東話【平行 interactive 口語字幕-粵拼-外文】廣播劇係個好彈性嘅教材。唔單只可以就噉聽、睇，仲可以隨自己需要* 用文字揀句子（兩邊語文都可以），

* 揀粵拼大細
* 揀乜嘢語言平行
* 揀語音速度快慢

* click on a phrase (in either language) to jump to that audio,
* choose the size of the Jyutping
* choose the parallel language (we'll likely have English and Spanish to start)
* choose the audio speech (to fit the proficiency level)

宜家除咗做多幾集之外，仲研究緊配套，睇下點樣可以出到輔助教學字表、分學習階段劇本讀本等。

In addition to preparing a total of six 30 minutes play, I am investigating how to prepare auxiliary teaching/learning material, such as glossaries and transcripts with graded Jyutping annotations.

順帶一提，呢啲劇係 學識 Hok6（香港網上學習平台）廣播劇班同學製作，由德哥（王德全老師/十八樓C座編導）混音，D100 電台協助製作。

These plays are student productions in a Radio Drama course, ran by Hok6.com, an online learning platform in Hong Kong. The audio production and mastering is performed by Wong Tak Chuen, a famous playwright-producer behind the long-running show "flat 18/C", with technical support from D100 the online radio station.

第一集【每天醒來 我要忘記你】係一套關於一對失智症情侶 嘅小故事，將會喺 2024-10-04 晚上發放。屆時除咗 呢度示範嘅互動模式喺 visual-fonts.com （需要安裝咗粵語字體先睇到粵拼），亦會同步以影片模式發放喺 D100 嘅 YouTube channel.

The first episode, "I will forget you every morning" is a short story about a couple and their struggle with dementia. This will be released on 2024-10-04 evening. The interactive version and supporting material (will need the Cantonese Font installed to see the Jyutping) will be available on visual-fonts.com, and at the same time, a video version will be available on the D100 YouTube channel.
