【安裝CCTV 閉路電視錄影監察系統前 私隱影響評估須知】
根據閉路電視監察措施指引，在安裝閉路電視前，大家應客觀地評估以下步驟，保障個人資料私隱條例:
1) 決定是否急需使用閉路電視
2) 確認使用的目的，及界定要處理的問題
3) 收集相關資料，以決定閉路電視是否能夠有效解決當前問題，如物業管理公司打算以閉路電視對付高空擲物問題
4) 尋找是否有其他私隱侵犯程度較低的方法，但同樣達到使用閉路電視系統的目的?
5) 諮詢可能受閉路電視影響的人士，了解採取什麼步驟以減低對私隱的侵犯
6) 了解清楚使用CCTV所監控的範圍和程度。如果只是暫時需要，那就不適合使用永久閉路電視。

【Steps You Need to Take Prior to CCTV Installation】
1) Decide whether there is a pressing need to use
2) Establish the specific purpose of the use of CCTV and clearly identify the problem to be addressed
3) Collect relevant information to see whether CCTV will substantially solve the problem at hand e.g. property management office intends to use CCTV to deal with the problem of throwing objects from heights
4) Find out whether there are other less privacy-intrusive options to better address the problem
5) Consult, where practicable, people may be affected by the CCTV on their concerns are
