Teximp Automation has successfully commissioned two URC-12 robotic cells for machine tending of a Haas VF-2SSYT at a customer site in Slovenia.

By using the Teximp universal package, which includes universal palletizing with pins, universal gripper fingers, and HMI control, the robotic cell was adapted to the new workpiece in under 10 minutes.

Teximp Automation has successfully commissioned the URC-12 robotic cell tending a Haas UMC-500SS machine at a customer site in Slovenia.
The cell is enclosed with a protective cage and loads the machine from the side, where a pneumatic autodoor is integrated.

The gripper with universal fingers handles raw workpieces placed on a pin-based universal pallet previously prepared and loaded by the operator. Inside the machine, there is a dedicated clamping setup consisting of a base plate equipped with two vises with clamping jaws.

The robot first picks up a raw workpiece, places it onto a positioning plate for centering, and then loads it into the first vise for the initial machining cycle. Once this cycle is completed, the robot removes the semi-finished part from the first vise and transfers it onto a rotation plate, while simultaneously inserting a new raw part into the same vise.

It then removes the finished part from the second vise and replaces it with the semi-finished one, ensuring an uninterrupted two-stage machining cycle.

Air supply to the machine is provided via a rotary seal with integrated fittings.

At Teximp Automation, we develop solutions that streamline and accelerate manufacturing processes – one of our key products is the Drawer System.
This compact yet highly flexible system enables safe and efficient handling of large quantities of raw or finished parts – without interrupting production.
🔹 Usable area per drawer: 1000 x 480 mm
🔹 Load capacity per drawer: up to 400 kg
🔹 Number of drawers: up to 5 standard (or more, depending on the robot’s reach)
🔹 Dual-sided access – robot and operator can use their sides independently
🔹 Adjustable drawer heights – adaptable to various workpiece sizes and types
🔹 Integrated safety light curtains (Category 4)
🔹 LED status beacon and 3-button control box, including complete electrical cabinet and cabling
➡️ The operator loads raw parts from one side, while the robot simultaneously retrieves parts from the other and feeds them into the CNC machine. Drawers not currently in use remain accessible – allowing for uninterrupted operation, even during third shifts.
➡️ In addition to standard parts, the system supports palletization of vises with clamped workpieces placed at an angle on conical pins.

This solution is especially valuable in large batch production, where thousands of smaller parts can be prepared in advance – saving time, space, and labor.
