The biggest advantage of this compound flattening die? No tool changes. Traditional dead‑flange requires two steps: a 30° punch for pre‑bend, then a flattening die. Switching between two sets of tooling wastes time and effort. This die integrates both pre‑bending and flattening – one press stroke, no tool change in between. Time saved on tool changes equals extra production capacity. Flat, burr‑free flanges with precise, consistent angles.

How to design a die for short workpieces? Simply match the die length to the part length. Die holder at the bottom, die cover on top – get the concept right, and your efficiency doubles.

Someone asked me the other day if it’s possible to bend an arc without using a dedicated radius forming tool. The answer is, of course! Today, I’m using a standard right-angle punch and a V-die to bend an arc—enjoy this immersive viewing experience.

Practical application of the "hemming" (flattening) bending process:
Pre-bending to 30° using a 30° acute-angle punch, followed by flattening and setting using the punch's side projection—a continuous, two-step operation performed with a single set of tooling.
Highly efficient, resulting in a flat, mark-free finish.

A lot of friends ask how the mark‑free ball‑bearing die works. Let me show you.

The key is the ball bearings on both sides of the lower die – they roll with the sheet during bending, turning sliding friction into rolling friction. No pressure marks on the surface. Result? Stainless steel comes out clean and mark‑free – no sanding needed. Simple as that.

This hinge curling die performs both pre‑bending and curling in a single tool. The upper punch and forming slide work in precise coordination, curling a flat blank into a cylindrical hinge barrel in one stamping stroke. Built‑in wedge and return spring mechanisms ensure smooth part ejection without jamming. The finished parts have consistent roundness and a smooth inner wall, enabling smooth, jam‑free assembly.

Closed‑section bending die – designed for one‑shot forming of square tubes, round tubes, and other closed profiles. Conventional press brakes can't handle closed sections – the punch holder interferes with the workpiece, making the final bend impossible. Our die features a clearance opening or removable core – the workpiece passes through the clearance during bending and auto‑releases after forming. One‑shot forming – no welding seams. Compatible with square tubes, rectangular tubes, round tubes, and more. Custom sizes available.

Lower die – ball bearings on the left, sliding block on the right. The bearing side rolls with the sheet, eliminating surface marks; the sliding block side provides rigid positioning for precise, stable bending angles. One side protects the surface, the other controls accuracy – each doing its part. Stainless steel, aluminum, and other sensitive materials come off clean and mark‑free with excellent dimensional consistency. One die, two technologies, complementary advantages.

90° die forming wave-shaped parts. Upper punch presses, lower die lifts, the sheet moves through multiple bends sequentially within a single feed pass – all peaks and valleys completed in one stroke. Accurate angles, consistent spacing, no springback. Eliminates the hassle of multiple single-bend operations – efficiency doubled, ideal for high-volume production.
