[Photonics Insight]: Lasers

What are Lasers? Did you know that by using laser, drilling a hole in a diamond or wiping out cancer is possible? it is amazing right. This is because Lasers have a unique characteristics distinct from any light source that is:
1. Coherent
2. Monochromatic
3. Collimated

The key of Lasers application are mainly done by manipulating its beam optical power (Watts) and its intensity (Watts/m^2).
