Another hit for small businesses.

From Sunday, our diesel will cost €2.12 per litre.

For companies like ours running vans, trucks, machinery and travelling to jobs across the West of Ireland every day, fuel isn’t optional — it’s a major operating cost.

When diesel rises like this it affects everything:
• Getting staff to site
• Delivering materials
• Service calls
• Keeping jobs affordable for customers

Small businesses already deal with rising insurance, materials, wages, compliance and energy costs. Fuel increases like this just add more pressure.

We’ll keep doing our best to provide value and keep work moving, but it’s becoming harder for local businesses trying to support local communities.

Hopefully we start to see some relief soon.

Are you an experienced TAMS 3 Surveyor looking to work with a fast-growing, community-driven solar company?

Solar West is expanding our farm-solar division and we’re now seeking a qualified TAMS 3 Surveyor to join our team.

What the Role Involves:

✔ Farm surveys for TAMS 3 solar PV applications
✔ Measuring, assessing and documenting roof/ground-mount suitability
✔ Preparing grant-compliant survey reports
✔ Working closely with our installation & admin teams
✔ Covering farms across Mayo, Galway, Sligo, Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, Clare & Roscommon

What We’re Looking For:

🔸 Experience with TAMS 3 / DAFM schemes
🔸 Strong technical knowledge of solar PV
🔸 Full clean driving licence
🔸 Good communication skills & professionalism
🔸 Ability to work independently and efficiently
