BCE Consulting Engineers currently have a requirement for a Graduate / Junior Engineer or Building Surveyor to work on projects in Cork City and County.
This appointment will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to further develop their skills along with excellent opportunities for career advancement.
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Engineers and will receive comprehensive practical training and broad exposure to many areas relating to Civil and Structural Engineering, Including:
· Preparing Planning Permission Applications
· Site Suitability Assessment (P/T Tests)
· Pre-Purchase House Surveys and Snag Lists
· Building and Boundary Surveys
· Structural Design Drawings
· Steel Structural Load Strength Calculations
· Construction Drawings
· Boundary Registration and First Registration with the Property Registration Authority
· Planning and Buildings Regulations Certificate
· Declaration of Identity for Buildings
· Fire Safety Certificate Applications
· Disability Access Certificate Applications
Skills Required:
· Third level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a relevant Surveying qualification.
· Graduate to 3 Years PQE
· A pro-active approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios
· Site/construction/operational experience would also be beneficial
· Experience preferable, but not essential, in the use of civil engineering software i.e. AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PDS, Auto track
· Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
· Full, clean driving licence
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
