It's been a busy few weeks for Gavin Moran from Roscommon!

Some of our followers might remember how we posted previously about Gavin organising a tractor run in support of Epilepsy Ireland in March. Gavin is a 16-year-old TY student and was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 8. He has always been open about his condition to raise awareness and educate others, which is why he wanted to organise a tractor run for EI in his local community.

The event raised a massive €4,875 in support of Epilepsy Ireland and we were delighted to go and meet Gavin and his family recently for an official presentation of funds.

Despite such a massive amount already being raised, last Friday Gavin spearheaded a purple non-uniform day at his school Roscommon Community College- raising a further €650 for Epilepsy Ireland.

While doing all this, Gavin and his friend Michael, GM Engineering Ros , have been shortlisted for a National Student Enterprise Award for their transition year enterprise project - where they created an anti-backing bar to secure animals safely in a crush.

We did say it's a been a busy few weeks for Gavin! With such a massive amount raised for Epilepsy Ireland over the last few weeks - and with the National Student Enterprise final taking place later this week - we wanted to say a massive thank you to Gavin & all who supported his events; as well as taking the opportunity to wish him and Michael luck for the Student Enterprise final on Thursday!

We're sure our followers will join with us with the same well wishes!
